High-quality chargers have either a timer or thermo-sensor to ensure that the charging process is terminated as soon as the battery is fully charged. This eliminates any risk of overcharge. Chargers of unknown quality and with insufficient instructions may not meet these requirements. If used, the battery may overheat due to overcharging and may be damaged as a result.
