What is DUALBAND/TRIBAND?Dual band basically refers to the phone's ability to support two networks at the same time. Add one more network to that number, and you've got tri band.
We are talking about the GSM bands, meaning GSM900, GSM1800, and GSM1900. Subscribing to a dual band or tri band service allows your handphone to connect to the most available network signal. In other words, if the GSM900 network becomes too congested and you are in danger of becoming disconnected, the phone will automatically switch to another network seamlessly, usually without your active participation. This depends on the capabilities of your phone and location and means that you will be able to stay connected whenever and wherever you are.
