Yet another design flaw strikes the Samsung Galaxy Fold

Following months of delay, the Samsung Galaxy Fold was finally made available for the consumer market. As you may recall, the launch of the device was postponed due to a design flaw that completely broke the display. The company has since gone back to the drawing bard to improve the build and fix the flaws.

Despite its efforts, it would appear not everything is well with the Galaxy Fold. A report is claiming that the letters of the Samsung log at the hinge is starting to peel off. The letters A and U have already gone, so it will only be a matter of time before the rest follows. The letters have a holographic effect that adds to the aesthetic of the smartphone, but now just detracts from its overall look. Of course, this does not affect the overall functionality of the Galaxy Fold, but one would expect better quality control for a device that is so expensive.

For the time being, this is the experience of a single user, and many Galaxy Folds have yet to reach their destination. Only then will we know if it’s an isolated incident or a widespread issue.
