From France To Malaysia, Wiko Mobile Brings Unique Phones To The Market

“You don’t like the game? Change it”

It’s been a long time since we heard such a bold statement from a mobile phone maker so we naturally sit up and take notice when a previously-unheard of company made that claim. Wiko Mobile, from France, has just taken their first few steps on our shore and no doubt they will go straight into a very saturated and cutthroat market in which success is all about resonating with the people.

To stand out from the sea of like-minded crowds, one has to do something special. Different from the rest. We can’t say that what Wiko offers are day-and-night different from the others. But from what we have seen, stand out they do.

Here are the three “game-changers” that Wiko has brought into Malaysia along for their debut.

Highway Pure

The “flagship” among the three. One thing that will strike anyone who picks the device up for the very first time is just how shockingly thin and light it is. Complementing the sexy silhouette is a metal frame and glass back which makes the Highway Pure one of the best-looking smartphones in its range that we have ever seen (and held).

And we are not even done talking about its look yet.

Malaysia is the first country in the world to get a very special edition of the Highway Pure that is embedded with a total of 16 Swarovski Zirconia crystals (You heard that right, Swarovski!). They are embedded on the power button as well as the two volume buttons.

So a smartphone this good-looking would surely hurt many a pockets right? Imagine our surprise when we found out that it only costs RM999.

The Highway Pure is only available in White/Gold

A smartphone that looks nothing out of the ordinary harbors a neat little trick that shows itself only when the light goes off. Yes, The FEVER glows in the dark and it is the first of its kind as far as we are concerned.

The phosphorescent lines around the edges absorb light during the day to give off an intense glowing effect when in the dark. Not only does it looks uber cool, it also has some obvious locating-in-the-dark practicality in it.

The FEVER may not be as sleek as the Highway Pure but it is nonetheless a nicely-designed device with 2.5D glass, metal contours and soft touch leather-effect back cover.

Comparing it to the two phones above makes the LENNY2 the most “normal” one. But it is the perfect one for those looking for something very affordable without all the bells and whistles.

Colorful and fun, the LENNY2 allows for a variety of color customization from the standard black and white to coral, blue and bleen via a hot-swappable back cover. While it may not be as spectacular as its more flashy compatriots, it feels nice to the touch. At the price of RM299, we couldn’t find anything to complain about.
