Nokia Lumia 925 was announced on 14th May 2013 as the new flagship Windows Phone 8 for Nokia while Samsung Ativ S was announced at IFA 2013 and was the first Windows Phone 8 by Samsung, form the outside Ativ S look similar to android-based Galaxy S3 although Ativ S come with brushed aluminum chassis.
Nokia Lumia 925 come with a 4.5-inch WXGA display that deliver a resolution of 768 x 1280 and crucially, instead of using the normal LCD, Nokia opted to use a Gorilla Glass 2 AMOLED display with ClearBlack technology. Lumia 925 is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm dual-core Krait processor along with 1GB of RAM which is the best that can be supported by WP8. Nokia Lumia 925 come preloaded with a Smart Camera app which features several modes including burst mode that allow 10 simultaneous shot with 5MP quality, Best Shot – pick the best image from the burst mode, Action Shot – similar to that can be found on Galaxy S4 and HTC One and Motion Focus – allow user to add motion blur to a static objects as is you’re tracking the moving object with the camera. User also can remove moving objects and pick the best face for each person.
Samsung Ativ S is a new smartphone for both work and entertainment, offering premium Windows Phone 8 experince. Ativ S come with a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a 1.5GHz Dual Core Snapdragon S4 processor along with 1GB of RAM. It packed with a 2300 mAH battery and is an NFC enable device. The Windows Phone 8 based Samsung ATIV S is now available in Malaysia with the price tag of RM1,699.
