vivo V11 – 5 New Things That Make It The Best vivo Midrange Phone Yet

vivo’s V Series smartphones have always been about the selfie experience above anything else. The new vivo V11 is no different – packing one of the highest-resolution front cameras in the game. But the vivo V11 is much more than just another by-the-numbers, selfie-centric phone. It features several firsts that undoubtedly make it the most exciting release in the V Series yet. Here are the five new things that you should know about vivo’s latest release that also happen to be its best midrange offering to date.

1.   Barely-there notch

vivo has demonstrated that they are very much capable of building a notch-free phone with the NEX. While they can’t bring it to all their other models (yet) owing to the specific mechanism for making it possible, vivo did the next best thing they could – by limiting the notch footprint to its smallest form in order to push the screen real estate to the highest percentage possible and the V11 is not only the first V Series phone but also the first-ever vivo phone to sport the new notch design. vivo calls it the Halo FullView Display. By comparison, the notch on its predecessor – the V9 – looks huge.

2.   Stunning colorways

Gradient colors on smartphones are nothing new but vivo put an interesting spin on the gradient hue on the V11. Starry Night sees a gorgeous, glistening stars-like pattern adorning the blue and black rear of the phone while Nebula combines purple and blue to great effect. The results – paired with 3D curved body – are two equally stunning-looking phones that will turn heads effortlessly. Few would argue that this is perhaps the best-looking vivo phone yet besides the true bezel-less NEX.

3.   In-display fingerprint scanner

After being featured on two flagship-level phones, vivo’s in-display fingerprint scanner is finally coming to mid-tier devices with a more affordable price point. In fact, the V11 is the first V Series phone to carry the pioneering technology that we first saw on the X21 and then the NEX. Combined with an enhanced Face Access with higher accuracy, the V11 has some of the best vivo tech on showcase.

4.   AI-loaded Cameras

If you’re a fan of AI assistance helping you take great shots effortlessly, you’ll be happy to know that the V11 comes loaded with all kinds of AI features in both the rear and front cameras. New to the scene includes AI Scene Recognition for automatic real-time shot enhancement depending on various subjects; AI Backlight HDR and AI Low Light Mode that use AI algorithms to create perfectly exposed photos by capturing and combining multiple frames; as well as AI Portrait Framing can actually guide users via on-screen prompts to position the phone they are holding at the optimum angle to the best frame possible.

Selfie-taking is also being taken to the next level with AI Face Shaping that uses face-modelling algorithms to add individual treatments to facial features while improved AI Selfie Lighting provide more lighting effects based on AI algorithms’ understanding of the interaction between user’s face with light three-dimensionally.

With plenty of smart assistance, the phone does all the hard work in getting the perfect shots for you. Saves you all that post-editing effort and all the time in the world.

5.   Dual-Engine fast charging

There isn’t any fast charging feature on the V9 and now the V11 comes with one. vivo’s new Dual-Engine fast charging technology not only provides the charging speed boost that many of its peers from other competitors have got, but also features a total of nine different safeguarding features along with parallel connection of two charging chips for the added security.

The vivo V11 retails at RM1,699 and is now available in stores nationwide and online channels. | | | | | |
