Trade disputes between Japan and South Korea sees production disruption for the Galaxy Note 10

With the launch of the Galaxy Note 10 draws nearer, Samsung has started production of its upcoming flagship device. However, due to a trade dispute between Japan and South Korea, Samsung could see that production process disrupted.

In the previous week, Japan slapped South Korea with new rounds of tighter export regulations, particularly targeting materials required by electronics companies in South Korea to produce components such as chips. In particular for the Galaxy Note 10, the component most effected is the Exynos 9825 SoC.

A Samsung official stated that due to the dispute, the company has little choice but to lower production of the SoC by 10%, and that number is to be made up by its factories in the following month. No further comments regarding the disruption were disclosed.
