The HTC Wildfire has been leaked

Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC isn’t looking to regain lost glory despite the positive June financial report. It’s not leaving the phone market yet at least, and following the U19e unveiling comes fresh news on a HTC Wildfire E smartphone.

Initial reports came in June when it seemed the company might revive the long-dead Wildfire series, with 10 models of the Wildfire HTC phone getting regulatory approval in Russia. The phone is said to be launching soon to return the series to life, apparently having a 5.45-inch IPS display 18:9 ratio HD+ resolution and Android Pie out of the box.

Renders and images are not available, but Blue is said to be one of the colour options. The main rear camera is 13MP with 2MP supplementary, possibly for depth mapping, and 5MP on the front which may be embedded in the notch. Other specs are a Spreadtrum SC9863 (Cortex-A55 only octa-core chip), PowerVR IMG8322 video accelerator, 2GB/32GB memory and 3000mAh battery.
