05 September 2012 – Nokia also announced the Lumia 820 Windows Phone 8 device. It is powered by the same 1.5GHz dual-core processor as the Lumia 920, but it comes with a smaller 4.3-inch ClearBlack OLED display with 480 x 800 resolution pixels. The display also offers the “Super Sensitive Touch” technology like in the Lumia 920 that allows you to interact with the screen even if you are wearing a pair of thick snow gloves.

Storage-wise, the handset has an 8GB on board internal storage, and it is expandable via a microSD card. It has an 8-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics sans the PureView experience from the Lumia 920 flagship. There is a front facing camera for video chat purpose.

Nokia offers a range of colorful swappable back covers that enable wireless charging or NFC for the Lumia 820. The phone has a HSPA+ and LTE model and comes in yellow, cyan, purple, red, grey, white, and black.

The Lumia 820 is expected to hit selected markets in Q4 of 2012, but no pricing information is available yet.
