04 September 2012 – After its major legal victory over its rival Samsung Electronics, Apple is pressing home its advantage and is taking Samsung to court over four additional devices including the Galaxy S3

Apple originally wanted to block US sales of the Galaxy S3 earlier in July but Judge Lucy Koh did not allow it to proceed because of her overloaded schedule.

In February, Apple alleged that at least 17 Samsung products infringe its patents. In a court filing made in San Jose federal court on last Friday, Apple added four more devices to the original 17 devices.

The new complaint lists "at least 21 new smartphones, media players, and tablets that Samsung has released beginning in August 2011 and continuing through August 2012".

Some of the devices were part of the previous trial, but are now being named because Apple claims they infringed eight different sets of utility patents.

A jury awarded Apple a little over $1.05 billion two weeks ago, and wants to ban eight phones in the U.S. last week. So we aren’t surprised to see Apple trying to seal another victory/ban against Samsung’s current devices.
