Apple continues patent wars, adds devices to second patent suit

04 September 2012 – After its major legal victory over its rival Samsung Electronics, Apple is pressing home its advantage and is taking Samsung to court over four additional devices including the Galaxy S3.
In February, Apple alleged that at least 17 Samsung products infringe its patents. In a court filing made in San Jose federal court on last Friday, Apple added four more devices to the original 17 devices.
Some of the devices were part of the previous trial, but are now being named because Apple claims they infringed eight different sets of utility patents.
A jury awarded Apple a little over $1.05 billion two weeks ago, and wants to ban eight phones in the U.S. last week. So we aren’t surprised to see Apple trying to seal another victory/ban against Samsung’s current devices.
