Nokia to announce first wave of Windows Phone 8 devices before iPhone event

07 August 2012 – In a pre-emptive measure to be the centre of attention, Nokia is hoping to announce its first Windows Phone 8 smartphone on the 5^th of September at its own Nokia World conference in Helsinki.

Bloomberg reports that multiple devices will be announced during that date, which will be sold at a later date. All this happens a week before Apple’s own iPhone event which will happen a week later on the 12^th of September.
