Sony Xperia acro S also makes Malaysian debut, priced at RM1699

15 August 2012 - One of the two rugged phones announced at May, the Xperia acro S is making its way to Malaysia as well. Priced at RM1699, this durable handset is built with water and dust resistance in mind. 

The phone’s scratch resistant mineral glass display is capable of wet finger tracking as well, meaning if the screen is coated with water droplets it is still able to track where your fingers are.

Aside from being tough, the acro S is equipped with quite a few features like a 4.30-inch 720p Reality display powered by the Mobile Bravia Engine. The acro S is also powered by Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

There is a whopping 12-megapixel imager that promises to boot up in just a second, and records in 1080p full HD. Its front facing camera captures 720p videos.  And it doesn’t slouch on the performance front either – the acro S has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM. There is also support for NFC (Near Field Communication) so you can use it with the Xperia SmartTags.

The arco S is available in black and white, and is available in stores today, just in time for Raya.
