Reuters: New iPhone to have smaller Dock

24 July 2012 - Apple's next iPhone will come with a smaller Dock connector, according to Reuters. Current devices like the iPad and iPhone comes with a 30-pin port, but the new one iPhone will come with a smaller 19-pin connector instead.
The redesign is to make room for headphone jack at the bottom of the new iPhone. The 3.5mm headphone jack is currently on top of the phone.
Reuters' reports is similar to several rumours regarding the port, that a 30-pin connector will give way to 19-pin. iLounge suggested back in May, that the new port would be 'close to a pill shape'.
If this rumour does play out, the latest handset would be incompatible to accessories with a 30-pin connector. So we'll probably see an adapter to make older accessories work, while accessory makers will have redesign their products too.
