Phone of the Month – LG Optimus L7
By Jonathan Cheah
23 July 2012 – The LG Optimus L7 is our phone of the month for July.
The LG Optimus L7 uses a "Floating Mass" display technology, which means that the display is attached closely to the glass to create an optical illusion that the displays are “floating”. These phones have a rectangular metallic design and a leather-textured back cover.
The Optimus L7 has a 4.3-inch display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

It has the highest specifications of LG’s L-series of phones, announced in February at Mobile World Congress. The 4.3-inch screen is the largest for a budget Android ICS device, with the HTC One V and Sony Xperia U both sporting smaller screens.

The prices of LG Optimus L7, Sony Xperia U and HTC One V are of similar range at S$548, S$468 and S$398 respectively.
We caught up with HK Kwon, Managing Director, LG Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd. He says, "The LG Optimus L7 is part of our latest range of chic L-Style smartphones, which reinforces LG’s design leadership in the smartphone field. Design is consistently the top or second most important element for consumers when choosing a mobile phone. We believe that our L-Series are perfect devices for the style-conscious consumer as they are easy-to-use and very affordable yet compact and stylishly sophisticated."
