13 July 2012 – Samsung has planned to unveil the successor of the Galaxy Note a day before the IFA trade show kicks off.
According to DDaily, Samsung has arranged the Episode 2 of Unpacked Event on August 30 to unveil the Galaxy Note 2. The Korean publication also reports that the successor of the phone-tablet hybrid will be powered by a quad-core processor and will come with 3G and LTE variants.
MK Business News reported that the Galaxy Note 2 will sport a bigger display than its predecessor. It will be using an unbreakable plane (UBP) display, a thin display which gives more allowance for the phone manufacturer to fit in the processor and the cellular chip.
The Galaxy Note 2 is expected to run the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Samsung TouchWiz user interface as well as its S-Pen functionality. Rumor has it saying that the phone might be equipped with a 13-megapixel camera.
Various reports also indicated that the Galaxy Note 2 will be released on October, or before the Apple iPhone 5 launches.
Last month, Samsung Arabia has confirmed the existence of Galaxy Note 2 via Twitter.
