26 June 2012 – The Meizu MX Quad-core is an upgrade from its dual-core cousin and it is scheduled for release on June 30 in Hong Kong.
It has a 4-inch ASV display with 640 x 960 resolution pixels, similar to the display resolution found in Apple’s iPhone. Without doubt, powering the device is a quad-core processor, but Meizu decide to equip the phone with a Samsung Exynos A9 processor instead of Nvidia Tegra 3.
In addition, the smartphone will be running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with its own Flyme user interface on top of it. Other features include an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 lens, a 0.3MP front facing camera, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 1700 mAh battery.
Pricing-wise, the 32GB model will cost ¥2999 (S$ 603), while the 64GB model will cost ¥3999 (S$ 804). The company will not offer the 16GB model.
