Samsung delay Galaxy S III launch in Canada

16 June 2012 – Samsung will be delaying their highly anticipated Galaxy S III launch in Canada which was supposedly due on 20th June. The new launch date will be 27th June. Here’s the statement by Samsung Canada:
“Due to unprecedented demand, our launch of GALAXY S III will happen June 27th, rather than June 20th. Thanks for your understanding.”
The “unprecedented demand” was the nine million worldwide pre-orders as reported by Korea Economic Daily back in May.
While some are already expecting a delay for the US Galaxy S III launch as well, you may want to keep in mind that Apple is still attempting for a court order to block the Galaxy S III launch. It was a golden chance for Samsung that Judge Lucy Koh could not fit in a court order on the 21st June (launch date for Galaxy S III in US). Thus, it may not be wise for them to delay any further their launching date.
