Sony introduces two more entry level ICS phones - Xperia miro and tipo

13 June 2012 - Sony is a launching another set of entry-level Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Xperia smartphones called the social network-centric Xperia miro and the dual-SIM tipo.
Both devices share an 800MHz processor and 512MB RAM. There also share a 2.9GB internal storage with microSD slot that supports up 32GB. There is also xLOUD audio technology for better sounds.
The miro has a 3.5-inch screen that displays 320 x 640 pixel resolution. It comes with an interesting design which tapers off at the receiver. The miro’s deep Facebook integration with contacts, gallery and the music player and the miro has a dedicated illumination alert which lights up whenever you get Facebook updates.
It comes with a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. The miro supports HSPA, DLNA, WiFi and WiFi hotspot too.
Meanwhile, the Xperia tipo is the smaller, lighter sibling of the tipo with 3.2-inch screen. It supports HSPA, WiFi and WiFi hotspot support. The Xperia tipo comes in a single-SIM and a dual-SIM version called the tipodual.
Both smartphones will launch globally in calendar Q3 2012. Sony has not announced the pricing for both devices, but we expected both to be in the sub-RM1000 category.
