Facebook launches app centre, works on iOS and Android too

13 June 2012 - The social media giant launched a new app centre to help users find software compatible within Facebook. The web version neatly splits it between web and mobile apps.

Facebook's mobile version on Android and iOS devices supports app centre as well, and acts as a guide to which apps users may want to try out on their devices. Users can then send apps to their phones, where they are redirected to the App Store or Google play to download the app.
There were over 600 apps in the centre at launch. And you can browse apps via recommendations, trending and what your friends are playing with.
Facebook added it will help high quality apps grow or pop up on the front page based on members' ratings and how often they were used.
