09 May 2012 – In today’s CTIA round up, we will be giving the spotlight to Kyocera. The Japan-based company has introduced two interesting Android phones today.
First stop, we have the water-resistant Android phone Hydro that is capable of surviving in the water about a meter’s deep for 30 minutes. Interestingly, the rugged phone is running on the latest Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich. Other features include a 3.5-inch IPS display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, 3.2-megapixel camera, 2GB internal storage and a microSD card slot.
Next, we have the Kyocera Rise. Apparently, it is the first ICS phone to be equipped with a side-slider QWERTY keyboard. Otherwise, the specs of the Rise is similar to Hydro, including a 3.5-inch IPS display, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 3.2-megapixel camera and 2GB of internal storage.
