Comparison - Nokia Asha 200 vs 202 vs 203

05 May 2012 - In this comparison, we will do a quick analysis on the Asha 200 series from Nokia, specifically the Asha 200, 202 and 203.
All three budget phones have a 2.4-inch display with 320 x 240 resolution pixels and are running on Nokia’s S40 operating system. It is bundled with Facebook and Twitter social networking apps. In addition, there is a Nokia Browser for easy Internet browsing, a FM Radio and a music player for your personal entertainment. They are also equipped with a 2-megapixel primary camera and a microSD card slot that accepts cards up to 32GB.
Connectivity-wise, all three phones support dual-band GSM, EDGE, Bluetooth 2.1 and offer a microUSB port.
Both the Asha 200 and 202 are dual-SIM phones. These phones also support Easy Swap functionality that allows you to swap SIM cards without the need to switch off the phone. The SIM card slot is located on the side of the phone for easy swapping, eliminating the need for taking off the battery of the device. Once you have inserted two SIM cards into the phone, you literally could have two active phone lines. Furthermore, there is a dedicated SIM Manager that allows you to store up to five SIM cards with unique information.
There are few aspects that differentiate the Asha 200 and 202. Firstly, the Asha 200 comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and the display of the Asha 200 is on a landscape orientation while the Asha 202’s display is on a portrait orientation. Obviously, the Asha 200 is bigger than Asha 202 due to the built-in full QWERTY keyboard. The Asha 200 is a tad heavier than the Asha 202 by 15 grams.
The Asha 202 and 203 are identical phones and they have a 2.4-inch resistive touch screen. The only difference is that the Asha 202 is a dual-SIM phone while the Asha 203 is a single-SIM phone.
Pricing-wise, the Asha 200, 202 and 203 have a retail price of EUR 60 (approx. RM 240). Since all three of them share similar specifications, consider yourself whether you need a dual-SIM phone or a phone with full QWERTY keyboard.

Nokia Asha 203 is the single SIM version of the Asha 202. The phone gives user the combination of a touch screen and a traditional keypad for easy browsing, scrolling, opening apps and keying text. It has a 2.4-inch display with 240 x 320 resolution pixels. Other features include a 2-megapixel camera, music player, FM radio, Nokia Browser, and Bluetooth connectivity, and accept microSD cards up to 32GB.
