Nvidia - Thirty more smartphones with Tegra 3 this year

25 May 2012 - While we are already halfway through 2012, Nvidia GM, Mike Rayfield will remind you that you have yet to see the best from the chipset company. Rayfield touted that 30 more smartphones with Tegra 3 processor are slated to be available this year. He also added that these soon-to-arrive quad-core devices will be comparatively less expensive.

Along with the announcement, Rayfield also mentioned on their latest project, the Icera i500 platform and their next-gen Tegra processor codename Grey. Nividia says that the Icera i500 will have a much faster LTE speed compared to what we have experience up till now and it will be integrated with the Grey processor (which is also LTE supported). However, it is said that Grey will not be available until next year while on the other hand the Icera i500 will be arriving later in 2012..
