22 August 2011 LG has officially announced the LG Optimus Sol or E730. As we reported in the leak earlier, the LG Optimus Sol indeed has a 3.8-inch WVGA Ultra AMOLED display. In addition, the LG Optimus Sol is powered by a 1GHz processor and is running on Google Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) with Optimus UI 2.0. The sleek Android phone only has 9.8mm of thickness. Plus, it has a 5-megapixel primary camera and a front facing VGA camera.

Unlike the LG Optimus Black, LG has removed the Search touch button on the right, making it looks really close with the keys arrangement on the Samsung Galaxy S II minus the physical Home key.

The LG Optimus Sol comes in three types of colors, white, black and titan. The phone will be market as a mid-range Android device and will be available first in Europe on middle of next month, followed by Central and South America.
