Comparison - LG Optimus 2X vs HTC Inspire 4G

Both the LG Optimus 2X and the HTC Inspire 4G are quad-band devices. The LG Optimus 2X weighs 139g and the HTC Inspire 4G weighs 164g. The LG Optimus 2X displays 480 x 800 pixels onto a 4.0-inch screen and the HTC Inspire 4G displays 480 x 800 pixels onto a 4.3-inch screen. The LG Optimus 2X is likely to have a better resolution than the HTC Inspire 4G. The HTC Inspire 4G has a bigger screen than the LG Optimus 2X.
Both the HTC Inspire 4G and the LG Optimus 2X have 8-megapixel main cameras. The LG Optimus 2X has a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera while the HTC Inspire 4G does not have a front-facing camera. The LG Optimus 2X is capable of recording video at 1920x1080 (1080p HD) while the HTC Inspire 4G is capable of recording video at 1280x720 (720p HD) (30 fps).
The LG Optimus 2X uses a dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor to drive Android OS 2.2 (Froyo) and the HTC Inspire 4G uses a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor to drive the same Android OS 2.2 (Froyo).
The LG Optimus 2X comes with 8 GBs and the HTC Inspire 4G has 4 GBs of storage. Both the HTC Inspire 4G and the LG Optimus 2X can accept microSD cards of up to 32 GBs.
It would appear that the main difference is that the LG Optimus 2X has a dual-core processor and more storage than the HTC Inspire 4G with its single-core processor and half the storage of the LG Optimus 2X. The LG Optimus 2X is also capable of 1080p HD video recording whereas the HTC Inspire 4G is only capable of 720p HD video recording.

HTC Inspire 4G (announced Jan 2011 CES)
The HTC Inspire 4G has been announced as an AT&T device. It will have a 4.3-inch super LCD display specified at 480 x 800 pixels. The user interface is the familiar HTC Sense, driven by a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor with 4 GB onboard memory and up to 32 GB of SD card storage.
The camera is rated at 8-megapixels and it comes with 720p HD video recording. The device will start with a minimum Android 2.2 Froyo OS.
It has 1 GB RAM, up to 48 GB of internal storage and dual-cameras for this device, of which the front-facing one is a VGA video-camera.
