Tips and Tricks: Performing Hard Reset on Motorola Xoom

28 June 2011 If you are planning to give your Motorola Xoom to your friend, family or spouse, you might consider performing a hard reset on the Motorola Xoom first. Hard resetting the Motorola Xoom will erase everything that is stored in the tablet, including photos, videos, music, apps and user account information. Basically, the Motorola Xoom will be restored to the original state when you first booted the Motorola Xoom. However, before initiating the hard reset on the Motorola Xoom, make sure you have create a backup for all your important documents or data that is stored in the tablet by transferring them to a PC or Mac or the Cloud. 


1. Go to Settings
2. Touch Privacy on the left panel
3. Tap on the Factory data reset under Personal Data
4. Read thoroughly the warning
5. Tap on Reset tablet
6. Tap on Erase everything
