Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S available in Malaysia, priced at RM 1899

11 October 2011 – Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S is available now in Malaysia as announced by Sony Ericsson Malaysia recently. The Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S is exactly the same phone as its processor with a minor bump up in hardware specs.  

Sony Ericsson retains the same design, dimension and display as the original Xperia arc in the new Xperia arc S. It has a 4.2-inch Reality display with 480 x 854 resolution pixels. 

The Xperia arc S features a new 1.4GHz Scorpion processor with Adreno 205 GPU. Sony Ericsson touted that the 40% increase in clockspeed resulted in 25% faster camera start up and media conversion, along with 20% speedier web page rendering compared to the original Xperia arc. 

In addition, the Xperia arc S has an 8.1-megapixel camera with Sony's Exmor R technology that supports 2D and 3D sweep panorama. The 3D sweep panorama images taken by the phone can be viewed via a 3DTV by connecting the phone using a HDMI cable. Sony Ericsson has also bump up the internal storage of the Xperia arc S to 1GB and supports microSD cards up to 32GB. The phone is running on Android version 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) with Timescape UI. 

The Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S comes in Pure White, Gloss Black or Pink. It is retailed at RM 1899 and bundled with a range of accessories that worth RM 429:
