Motorola Droid 2 set for international release?
Engadget got this gem from a source 'close to the situation' that the rumoured global version of the Droid 2 is the same phone as the rumoured Droid Pro. The Droid Pro is a doppelganger of Droid 2, except for a GSM/HSPA radio for global integration. Another tipster of theirs points out that the Droid 2 and Droid Pro are showing up as two different devices in Verizon’s inventory system - model numbers A956 and A957. But what is confirmed, the Droid 2 is getting GSM capability. Engadget did claim that Verizon has cold feet when deciding on branding, so the Droid 'Pro' could see a change up until the very last minute. Expect to pay than $200 on contract, if/should it come over to Asia.
