Motorola Cliq with MotoBLUR UI unveild
Motorola brought us an Android phones called the Cliq. The phone was launched from a Motorola event from San Francisco.
The specs of the phone include a full sliding QWERTY keyboard, 3.1’ HVGA touchscreen, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a 5 megapixel camera. Connectivity-wise, there’s a quad-band (GSM 850/900/1800/1900), 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and Wi-Fi.
The UI of the phone is called the MotoBLUR, a modified Android Cupcake. The UI highlights social networking, will feature live widgets that integrate Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, MySpace, Yahoo, Last.fm and more. There are comparisons to Palm’s Synergy, as Blur combines all your contacts into a single address book, but it shows you recent status updates along with photos when contacts call you.
The Cliq will be available exclusively from T-Mobile USA, and will be priced at USD $400 without a contract. The international version will be called the DEXT, the phone will be launched by Orange in France and UK, and will available from Telefonica in Spain.
