iPhone 3GS vs Sony Ericsson Satio
By Jonathan Cheah
03 December 2009 – The iPhone 3GS and the Sony Ericsson Satio are similar looking devices in shape and size. Both are touchscreen devices and are the current flagship devices of their respective companies.
There are some differences between the iPhone 3GS and the Sony Ericsson Satio. The iPhone 3GS comes in 16 or 32GB when you buy it, and you cannot add to this because memory cards are not supported. On the other hand, the Satio comes with only 128 MBs of memory but supports an expansion card. In most markets, an 8GB card is sold together as part of the purchase price of the phone.
However, the key difference is in the camera. The Sony Ericsson Satio has a 12 megapixel camera while the iPhone 3GS has a 3 megapixel camera. 12 megapixel is top-of-the-line right now, while 3 megapixel is considered average.
Therefore, the purchase decision would come down to whether the user needs or wants such a high-end camera in the phone or not. If the quality of the picture matters a lot to you, then the 12 megapixel device, the Satio, is the one to go for.
However, one must not forget to factor in the large amount of applications which are available to the iPhone. Previously, the SE fan community had a lot of applications themselves, but commercial rewards are contributing to the boom in iPhone applications.
