Apple's iMac and Magic Mouse to hit Malaysia by November 11th
Apple today updated the new iMac, Macbook and Magic Mouse. Apple updated the iMac with the 21.5 inch and 27 inch screens with 16:9 aspect ratio in, replacing the 20 inch and 24 inch 16:10 aspect ratio screens of the previous generation. Apple also claimed that 27 inch display features a 2560x1440 pixel display, which has more pixels than a HD display.
Except for the baseline model, all the iMacs switched to ATI video cards. Additionally, Core 2 Duo upgrades are available in lower-end iMacs, meanwhile Quad-core CPU are available in higher end models, making these the first quad-core iMacs. There also a new microSD slot for easier data transfers.
The iMac will come with the Magic Mouse and a wireless keyboard. The iMac are priced starting at RM 4,299 to RM 6,999.
The new wireless Magic Mouse uses Apple multi-touch technology, so users can user gestures on the face plate instead of scroll wheels or physical buttons to manipulate documents, webpages and more. The Magic Mouse is available at the end of October for RM 229.
