By CHONG JINN XIUNG
SONY Ericsson has launched its latest Symbian OS smartphones, the G700 and G900.
The G700 is a compact candybar phone that has a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus.
It has a fully interactive touchscreen that allows users to quickly jot down notes with the stylus. Alternatively, the notes function also allows users to doodle or draw and send them to friends.
Meanwhile, the attractive G900 has a few extras over the G700, including a powerful 5-megapixel camera for taking high quality photos and videos.
Also, users can frame their shot and change the focus point of the camera by simply touching the screen.
Additionally, the G900 also has WiFi for connecting to the Internet.
Both the phones run on an updated Symbian operating system that has an improved user interface that gives easy access to essential functions such as the calendar, favourite contacts and more.
The phones have a 2.4in touchscreen display as well as dedicated function keys for messaging, taking notes and a key lock button to lock keys when not in use.
Also, the phones support HSDPA for faster Internet access.
Both the phones have 160MB built-in storage memory that can be expanded up to 4GB with a M2 memory stick.
The G700 and G900 retail for RM1,238 and RM1,560 respectively.
