LG launches Renoir and KP500 at GoMobile 2008
November 21, 2008 - LG Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd today announced the launch of the industry’s most affordable full touchscreen phone – the LG KP500 Cookie, equipped with the latest touch technology. The event also saw the launch of the KC910 Renoir, which is LG’s 8 mega-pixel touch multimedia phone that will offer consumers exceptional multi-sensorial experience as it is incorporated with an intuitive user interface, as well as Dolby Mobile for Music. LG Mobile will also be offering 100 units of the LG Renoir for a no-obligation two week trial to GoMobile 2008 visitors.
Since its first full touch screen phone, the PRADA Phone by LG made its debut in the market, LG has been advancing touch screen technology in new models of phones to suit different consumer needs, such as the LG Viewty, its top-selling 5 mega-pixel camera phone. With continuous advances in touch screen technology, the LG Cookie incorporates LG's latest precision refinements to further enhance the experience when the human touch meets the LG Cookie’s vivid digital screen.
The quad-band GSM phone is equipped with an intuitive user interface in response to the need for a simple way to navigate through the many features found on today’s mobile phones. One of the easy-to-use features will enable users to scroll through photos assigned to contacts when searching for a number to call.
LG KP500 Cookie
Writing or typing is also made easy as the LG Cookie gives its users the option to either utilize the embedded stylus pen for the advanced handwriting recognition program, or the QWERTY onscreen keyboard that appears when the phone is held horizontally.
Other features of the LG Cookie include the auto-rotating display that allows users to view documents or images in landscape format when the phone is held horizontally. It is also packed with motion sensor games for an enjoyable gaming experience, ensuring that users get the most out of the phone.
LG KC910 Renoir
In addition to the LG Cookie, LG also revealed its 8 mega-pixel touch multimedia phone, the LG Renoir. The phone’s camera features are exceptional as it comes with Schneider-Kreuznach certified optics, xenon flash and an ISO of up to 1600. Capturing photos is made more attractive as the phone boasts other camera functions such as image stabilization, auto and manual focus, Face Tracking, Smile Shot and blink detection.
The LG Renoir promises users an exceptional multi-sensorial experience as it also incorporates an intuitive user interface. It is the first mobile phone that features the Dolby Mobile for Music feature, which is an integrated suite of audio processing technologies that ensures a spectacular music listening experience.
Browsing the internet is made more enjoyable as the LG Renoir is compatible with the latest 3G HSDPA networks and Wi-Fi. In addition, the A-GPS enabled navigation system will assist users find their way easily as well as being able to record the location of where they had taken their snapshots. The LG Renoir will retail for RM 2,088.
