GPS on a keychain
Most standalone GPS receivers are quite big but not the Mini GPS from Freedom Input Ltd.
Measuring a mere 39 x 33 x 20mm, the device is so small, you can attach it to a keychain, allowing you to carry it around all the time.
The Mini GPS comes with the latest SiRF Star III technology and is capable of connecting simultaneously up to 20 satellite channels, which can give users an accurate position even in difficult environmental locations, Freedom Input claimed.
With its built-in rechargeable battery, users can get a solid working time of up to 10 hours per charge.
The receiver, which connect to notebooks, PDAs and smartphones via Bluetooth, does not come with any bundled maps.
Instead, users have to purchase any of the commercial versions already available, such as The AA, Active Pilot, Gate 5, Mapquest, Memory Map, or Nokia/Smart2Go.
