ASUS J208 Offers Bluetooth HID Remote Control Functions
Taipei, Taiwan; June 20, 2006 – ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS) today introduced the J208 ultra-slim handset, which incorporated HID (human Interface Device) functions to turn the handset into a remote controller for media players and slide presentations. The J208 is built from the ground up to offer corporate professionals a comfortable and convenient tool for business communications, especially when they are away from their desks and in meetings.
The Slim Slider
At a mere 17mm and with a hidden antenna, the J208 enables easy carry for those who are constantly on the go. Just tug it in suit, pants or shirt pockets without feeling the burden of an extra device. The J208 is also designed based on the golden ratio to provide a comfortable holding and usage experience.
HID Bluetooth and GPRS Mobile Online Connectivity
The J208 incorporated HID Bluetooth remote control functions. Through the 5-way controller button, the phone can wirelessly control the cursor, access media player features and flip presentation slides. Users can now roam around the meeting room and interact with all attendees while making multimedia presentations. Teamed with GPRS support, the J208 provides mobile online access to stay connected with the rest of the world.
Advanced Digital Photography
The 2M-pixel built-in camera offers up to five consecutive shot function and MPEG4 and 3GP format video recordings. The 1.9” display with 176 x 220 resolution further make the J208 excellent for digital imagery.
Bluetooth Stereo Headset and Flight Mode
With MP3 player features built in, 64MB internal memory and microSD card reader, the J208 is a mobile music player with ample storage space for all music genres. The handset supports A2DP Bluetooth stereo earphones as well to permit high-quality audio enjoyment without cable constraints. The Flight Mode also lets users listen to their favorite tunes on flights by allowing MP3 functions without activating the mobile communication features of the phone.
