Sony Ericsson T290i

Beijing, 25 October 2004 – Sony Ericsson has announced the T290c for those who are Chinese literate and the T290i for the rest of the world. This is a rare dual-band model in a period of tri-band and quad-band phones.

The T290 has speaker phone functionality, and it supports Multimedia messaging (MMS). It also has e-mail support and its text messaging comes with predictive input to make writing easy.
The T290i supports 32-chord polyphonic ringtones, and an event calendar with programmable reminders. The T290 is designed to appeal to the young, and it comes with a 4K colour screen, although this time around the screen is 101 x 80, which is slightly smaller than the 128 x 128 of the J200.
