Qualcomm and Intel cuts ties with Huawei too

Bad things keep piling up for Huawei, as following the ban by the US on the company which saw Google restricting access, other US companies have followed suit to cut supplies.  Chipmakers Intel and Qualcomm will be cutting off product supplies to Huawei until further notice. Other firms, namely Broadcom and Xilinx have apparently done so as well.

Despite the fact Huawei uses its own HiSilicon processor for a majority of its self-branded and HONOR products, a majority of it are still equipped with Qualcomm chips. Intel meanwhile provides processor for Huawei’s notebooks and servers. Huawei for the time being has sufficient supplies of necessary products to continue operating for three months. With this major obstacle in the way, it would be interesting to see how Huawei intends to overcome it.
