Realme Steps Into The Malaysia Market With Three Affordably-Priced Smartphones

Realme has officially debuted in Malaysia. The very-new smartphone brand has been taking several Asian markets the likes of India and Indonesia by storm since it announces its inception in May. And now that they’re here – bringing along not one, not two, but a total of three smartphones to our local market – we learned what makes them tick and how they intent to stand out from the sea of competition.

Like recent smartphone brands that emerged in the last couple of years, Realme wants to appeal to the youth and the younger generation by delivering power and style in a package that is accessible for everyone. Of course, this is not the first time we have heard of this proposition. To their credit though, Realme also went on to promise a top-notch after-sales service with their 360° care approach that includes both online and offline pre-sale and after-sale services. Customers will be able to arrange for their problematic devices to be serviced by online or visit any of the 21 service centers, the locations which have not been disclosed yet in the time of writing. After-sale services have been a constant point of contention among consumers for the longest time and it is nice to see Realme attempts to make it one of their core primary focus. Realme also announced that they will be launching their very own Realme Community here in December.

As far as the Realme smartphones are concerned, they do not break any grounds, nor do they introduce something new to the industry. But at their price points with what they are offering, many will no doubt find them very attractive. The sales numbers achieved in the other Asian markets don’t lie. The devices serve up a design language that fits right in the current smartphone design trend – a glass sandwich with a notch display.

The lineup consists of the flagship Realme 2 Pro, Realme 2 and the Realme C1. Specs-wise, they are within what their price range offers. However, the Realme 2 Pro packs up to a whopping 8GB of RAM plus 128GB of storage – configurations that normally find themselves in much pricer phones. It is safe to say that if you intend to get a phone with 8GB of RAM (and not counting the other specs), the Realme 2 Pro presents the best value for money at the moment.
