Leaked Moto X+1 Render Getting Compared With The Moto X

Motorola is set to unveil the successor to last year’s one-of-a-kind Moto X in September 4 during IFA 2014 and ahead of the reveal, we are given a tantalizing look at both the front and back of the new device, to be called the Moto X+1.

In what should be a farewell gift from @evleaks, who is turning off his trusty leaky pipe for good, the Moto X+1 can be seen as having a design that resembles the Moto X a lot, yet has several eye-catching distinctions. The display size is noticeably larger and flanking it at the top and bottom is the dual speaker grille ala the Moto E. Besides that, unlike the Moto X which has one sensor dot below the screen, the Moto X+1 has two. What the additional sensor for is unknown yet.

Turning our attention to the back, we can see that the camera lens is bigger and bolder than its predecessor, and so is the Motorola logo. Gone are the flash module (replaced by a dual flash on either side of the camera lens?) and the speaker grille, which is moved to the front as mentioned above. A less obvious but interesting feature is what seems to be thin metal ring on the sides of the device.

What do you think? Do you like what you see here? Or do you wish for a more rather radical design change?
