KidZania Kuala Lumpur and TNG Digital Sdn Bhd raising the awareness on cashless payments among youths

KidZania Kuala Lumpur and TNG Digital Sdn Bhd collaborate to launch the Touch ‘n Go KidZania eWallet app in KidZania Kuala Lumpur

Petaling Jaya, 20 February 2019 – In line with the national agenda to accelerate the nation’s migration to electronic payments, KidZania Kuala Lumpur announced its partnership with TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd., the newest members of its circle of forward thinking industry partners, to educate kids about the cashless economy.

The partnership will spearhead the adoption of cashless mobile payment with the Touch ‘n Go KidZania eWallet app to be applied as part of the payment system at KidZania Kuala Lumpur. The app, is the first of its kind among the KidZania franchise where it accepts kidzos, the KidZania currency, as part of its transaction and to be accessed in the award-winning edutainment centre.


“The partnership with TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd. is yet another initiative to further reinforce KidZania’s Learn Life Today motto, where we apply the unique approach of inculcating life skills among children through role play. With the Touch ‘n Go KidZania eWallet applied in KidZania Kuala Lumpur, kids will learn about financial literacy through spending their hard-earned kidzos via the mobile application or just by tapping at contactless payment terminals in the establishments in our City,” said Shahrul Nizar Ahmad, General Manager of KidZania Kuala Lumpur. Shahrul added, with cashless payment, the app allows kids to check their balances online which would make them start thinking about saving and to be more financial-savvy. TNG Digital champions urban mobility and is set to make the cashless transactions experience more accessible, seamless and safe for Malaysians. This partnership gives us the opportunity to educate and nurture habits that will advocate for a cashless society.

In conjunction with the adoption of cashless transaction in KidZania Kuala Lumpur, both the edutainment centre and TNG Digital will also introduce the Touch ‘n Go eWallet Experiential Centre later in the year to further encourage the adoption of cashless payments among kids in KidZania Kuala Lumpur. KidZania Kuala Lumpur offers over 100 professions related role playing activities spread across 60 various establishments in KidZania Kuala Lumpur that encourage children to adopt positive behaviours that will help to groom them to handle the demands and challenges of everyday life.
