iOS 13 could bypass many older iPhones

On 3 June 2019, Apple will be holding its WWDC2019 conference in San Jose, the US. At the event the company will be announcing among other things, iOS 13.

One thing to note is that the latest version of the iOS will no longer be supporting a number of older models, including the iPhone 6. Reports are suggesting that the latest OS will not support the iPhone SE, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and the iPad mini 2. Simply put, devices quipped with the A9 processor will be excluded. No details were provided as to whether or not it is due to a technical reason or a not so subtle way of telling users to upgrade.

That said, such a move from Cupertino is understandable, as a wide compatibility will make the software system much too bloated, while the the corresponding app-side development will also need to adapt more products, a rather complicated and arduous task. Forcing users to abandon older models is also an option on the table, obviously.
