The Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition is spotted on TENAA

Xiaomi had announced the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition back on 31 May 2018 to complement the vanilla Xiaomi Mi 8. Since then news of the device has gone quiet, but it would seem now that we may be finally seeing the device, as it was spotted on TENAA, having cleared certification.

As a reminder, the 6.21-inch Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition is powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor paired to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In the camera department, expect to find a dual 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel camera setup working in tandem with a front-facing 20-megapixel shooter. Keeping everything up and running is a 2900mAh capacity battery.
Other highlights, as you may recall are the addition of a pressure-sensitive on-screen fingerprint reader, structured light face recognition, and a transparent back cover.

The device should be priced at around CNY 3,599 (MYR 2,238.44 ), and while a Malaysian launch is unknown, there are other ways of getting your hands on one.
