The Sharp Aquos S3 is leaked

Foxconn-owned Sharp was one of the OEMs who caught up with the full-screen, bezel-less smartphone trend that started in the second half of 2017, releasing the Aquos S2 smartphone with bezel-less design, as well as being the world’s first Snapdragon 630-powered smartphone. The device will be getting a successor in the Sharp Aquos S3.

Sharp Aquos S3 Preview

The Sharp Aquos S3’s photos have been leaked; not the grainy ones that showed up with hits TENAA listing, but clear images that appeared on Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) website. The photos show the front and rear designs of the device. The front looks similar to the Aquos S2, with a more extensive notch at the top for not only the selfie camera, but also the receiver speaker and one sensor with unknown function. The rear has the dual camera design with slight bump, and vertically aligned with the bottom LED flash. The main difference of the rear design of the S3 is the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Sharp already revealed the Aquos S3 will launch on January 16. Its specs are expected to be a 5.99-inch display with 2160 x 1080 display, 2.2GHz octa-core processor that may be the Snapdragon 660, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and 3100mAh battery.
