The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is certified to be the world’s thinnest high end tablet
We previously reported that Samsung has been working on the new Galaxy Tab S2 that will come in two variants just like their predecessors – Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S2 9.7. And according to their exclusive report, both the tablets will be formally announced in June and released to a global market that will include European and Asian countries.
The Galaxy Tab S2 will apparently be thinner than the wafer-thin Apple iPad Air 2 and that will surely earn it the thinnest tablet in the world claim, although this could in fact ward off potential buyers, unless they are pretty sure that they will want that at the expense of some precious battery life. For comparison’s sake, the tablet’s overall dimensions are at 198.2 x 134.5 x 5.4 mm.
We should expect to see specs such as 3GB RAM,64-bit Exynos processor, 32GB expendable internal storage memory, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, 8MP main camera and a 2.1MP front-facing one as well as WiFi-only/LTE that will essential split the tablets into four variants (there will be two variants each for Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S2 9.7).
As mentioned earlier, the device will be making its rounds sometime this month, so be sure to keep tabs on us as we announce the availability of Samsung’s flagship tablet.
