The Samsung Galaxy S9 is put to the drop test

Samsung’s claims about Galaxy S9’s durability has been put to the test by US-based warranty company SquareTrade. As it turns out, the claims are mostly true. The tests include having the Galaxy S9 and S9+ dropped from 6 feet high on the front, back, and sides.

As you will see from the video, Samsung’s latest flagship didn’t make it after the first drop but it still did better than its predecessors. A Breakability Score of 71 was awarded to the Galaxy S9 and 76 for the Galaxy S9+, putting the two in Medium Risk and Medium-High Risk categories. Incidentally, the two devices have also done better than the iPhone X, giving Samsung some bragging rights.

Whatever the case might be, the best course of action is to always get screen protectors for your smartphones.
