The Samsung Galaxy S8 in China to get 6GB of RAM
IHS Research Director Kevin Wang have revealed details regarding specifications of the China edition of the Samsung Galaxy S8.
Wang stated that the Samsung S8 China Edition would have 6GB of RAM, as compared to the 4GB RAM variant for everyone else. As always, the China Edition will be powered by an Exynos chip, in the form of the Exynos 8895 chip whereas the International version will have a Snapdragon 835 CPU instead.
To recap the Galaxy S8 is expected to have a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2960 screen resolution, 4GB RAM (or 6GB if you’re in China), 64 or 128GB internal storage, and up to 256GB expandable storage. It will either have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, manufactured by Samsung, for the international version, or the homegrown Exynos 9 processor for the South Korean market. It may also have either single-SIM or dual-SIM models.
