According to iFixit, the Galaxy Note 8 can be disassembled in ten relatively straightforward steps. However, due to a large number of small parts and excessive adhesive usage, it will be a pain to reassemble.

Note 8 Teardown

For one, Samsung has positioned the battery in the center of the Galaxy Note 8 and moved the vibration motor to the bottom-right to provide the cell with some breathing room, should it happen to heat up and expand. In case you were wondering, the 3,300mAh battery has been subjected to the eight-point Battery Safety Check, and have also been tested by Underwriters Laboratories, a third-party entity.

Many components found within the smartphone are modular and can be replaced independently, says iFixit, but having to remove the fragile (and expensive) rear panel to access the parts will make most want to visit the repair centre to drop the device there instead.
