Samsung Taking iPhone 6 Plus Head On With The Galaxy S6 Plus?
Another phone gone to the Plus side?
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge may not have been in market for long, but there are already talks of a new variant set to be unleashed as early as within this month itself.
Project Zero 2 has been known to be in the works for some time and now it is said to be a slightly bigger variant of the current flagship, to be called the Galaxy S6 Plus and the pictures below are said to be it. Among its rumored specs for now are a 5.4/5.5-inch Super AMOLED display that has double-sided curve “edge screens”, hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 32GB internal storage memory, 16MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing snapper as well as no S Pen functionality.
Now why would Samsung wants to release another flagship device so soon after the S6 and S6 edge is anybody’s guess, also taking into consideration that just less three months later, the Galaxy Note 5 (Project Noble) will be unveiled and released. Perhaps Samsung wants a direct competitor to the iPhone 6 Plus, considering the last year model still continues to outsell both the S6 and S6 edge today.
Anyhow, do you think the S6 Plus is necessary? Share your thoughts in the comments.
