Samsung announces the launch of the Galaxy Tab A with Bixby Home

Samsung has just announced the launch of the Galaxy Tab A with Bixby Home in South Korea. Available in Wi-Fi and 4G variants, the 8.9m tablet features an 8-inch display and has been designed for convenience and practicality. The device boasts a metal back for a luxurious feel and rounded edges for ease of holding.

The highlight of course is Bixby Home, which has been turned into a card-based contextual interface featuring Samsung’s digital assistant. The new Home Mode can be turned into a display for useful information such as time, calendar and weather while the tablet is being charged. The mode also turns the device into a photo frame that can show up to 50 photos from the gallery. There is a token 8-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and a 5-megapixel front camera if you feel you need to take pictures with it.

The Galaxy Tab A is powered by a 1.4GHz processor paired to 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of storage at your disposal. Keeping everything up and running 5,000mAh battery.

The Wi-Fi model is being sold for KRW 264,000 (MYR 998.76) while the LTE Galaxy Tab A goes for KRW 308,000.
