More Moto X details leaked ahead of tomorrow’s launch
As the Motorola Moto X approaches its due announcement date, but rumour piping is leaking like nobody’s business. According to former editor for Android and Me, Taylor Wimberly, the Moto X will be equipped with a 10-megapixel Clear Pixel camera with a pixel size of 1.4 microns. What this translates into is that the pixels will be larger than those on the Galaxy S4 sensor (1.1µm), but smaller than HTC One’s (2µm). The bigger pixels when combined with the Clear Pixel technology will theoretically improve its performance in low light conditions.
Furthermore, the Motorola Moto X camera is apparently capable of recording 1080p videos at 60 fps, which is something new for smartphones. The camcorder will use pixel binning, combining information from 4 pixels to reduce noise and provide clearer videos. For more details, stay tuned to us as we report the official launch tomorrow.
