A number of Apple iPhone X owners have reported a strange green line on their displays, according to a report by MacRumors.

Based on the disclosed images, the vertical green line is on either side of the screen and does not appear until after some time. As such, even if your phone is currently working fine, the problem may manifest itself later.

The cause of the green line is purportedly due to an electrical fault that is causing multiple green sub-pixels to light up. The iPhone X uses a diamond subpixel pattern which has the green subpixels appear in lines. As this is likely a hardware issue, the only fix is really to just replace it. While OLED displays may be better when it comes to color reproduction and battery life, they have their fair share of problems.
